Life Drawing
As you can see above, my life drawing session this week involved using three cheap pigmented colours to develope the use of layering and paint whilst observing from the body. I began by using a blue brown and yellow to create a very thin layer of paint to work from. These created a very watercolour like finish, which I could have then layered onto.I used the colours according to tone on the body.I slowly thickened the paint to then create a final painting in which I mixed many colours to use to portray very different tones to the body, even with greens and purples where necessary. The method by this painting was to use swatches of different coloured paint to layer and create tone and depth to the image of the body. I like the outcome of this image as it creates a very interesting colour palette and a distortion and depth to the painting.
