3d Work
The 3d taster week was interesting in that it showed my weakness of drawing very precisely and with 3d presision of an object. It was interesting to learn the process in which 3D/product designers go through to restylise products but it was not something that i was particually good at. I liked the much rougher drawings from ink as they corrolate more to the freeer work which i tend to focus on. I also had expectations of the week which were not met, i expected there to also be a focus on 3d fine art in terms of sculpture and 3d installations but this did not seem to be the case therefore i didnt enjoy it as much as i had hoped. If it involved 3d art in the terms of sculpture and installation then i think it would have been an area in which i could have specialised in, as previous work of mine has been sculputral. Therefore, the week was benefical in allowing me to try and strengthen my scale drawing and in teaching me the basic process of restylizing products but it would not be an area i would consider to specialise in now. Below are examples of the models that i created from shapes/forms from the previous drawings that we did. Niether of these were particually interesting or inspiring.
